Catalan ceramics from Breda with craftsmanship, heritage and a contemporary vision

At Ceràmiques Graupera, we transform clay into Spanish ceramics pieces that dress spaces, tell brand stories and add value to every project.

Catalan ceramic from Breda made by Graupera

We are a family-owned ceramic company from Breda with more than sixty years of experience, balancing tradition and innovation.

We develop bespoke ceramic solutions for hospitality, retail, food packaging and decorative projects, adapting each project to specific usage, production and branding requirements. We know ceramics inside out—we understand how they should perform and how they should endure over time.

Our history

1954
It all begins with a name: SEGRA. SEGRA is born at the entrance to the village, founded by Josep Graupera Clos and Sebastià Auladell. The first step of a long story.
1976

A new stage at the current site. Josep Graupera Marcos founds a new stage, marking the start of a path of its own.

1984

First expansion. The company needs more space to grow, and the facilities are expanded.

1986

Ceràmiques Graupera SA is born. Three partners across two generations: Josep senior, Josep junior and Salvador. Already envisioning a family project built to last.

1992-1998

A decade of transformation.New production buildings, a glazing area and a transition towards materials that are more environmentally responsible and considerate of people’s health.

2000

Technology enters the factory. The first press is automated, and manual craft begins to work alongside machine precision.

2009

Offices and glazes. The offices are renovated, and the colour of the products becomes a language of its own for the company.

2011

ISO certifications. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, a formal commitment to quality and the environment.

2016
StoneHeart is born. A new terracotta line, more resistant and less porous.
2019-2025

Innovation and robotization. Reactive glazes arrive, and robotics drives production without losing the essence of manual craft.
